Dr. Thomas Checchio is a board-certified chiropractor in practice for 9 years. He is a native of Hunterdon County, NJ and after graduating from Hunterdon Central High School, he attended Rutgers University graduating with a degree in Biology, focusing on Cell Biology and Neuroscience. While attending Rutgers University, Dr. Checchio decided to follow in the footsteps of two other family members, who also practiced as chiropractic physicians, after witnessing the benefits chiropractic could offer to both patients as well as himself.
Dr. Checchio attended North East College of Health Sciences in Seneca Falls, NY due to their strong foundation in an evidence-based approach to helping patients through chiropractic care. During his schooling, he had the privilege to treat U.S. military veterans at the VA Hospital in Rochester, NY, and patients with varying neuromuscular disorders at Monroe Community Hospital. In addition, Dr. Checchio concurrently studied to earn his Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition which he currently utilizes to help patients reach their health goals.
Upon his completion of both degrees, Dr. Checchio returned to New Jersey wishing to serve the population of his home state. As a chiropractor, he truly cares about his patients and strives to improve their musculoskeletal conditions and achieve overall health and wellness for them.
In his free time, he enjoys gardening and spending time with his friends and family, especially his wife Jessica and their dog Bodhi and cat Dewey. Dr. Checchio is also passionate about sports including baseball and football and is an avid New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.
